It can be very stressful when you are supporting someone who is having difficulties with their mental health. Remember it is very important for you to look after yourself to prevent becoming physically and emotionally run down.

  • Set Boundaries – Don’t take on too much, if you become unwell yourself you won’t be able to offer support. 
  • Get Support – From friends, family, community groups, online forums or even mental health professionals.
  • Self Care – Make sure that you take time for yourself to do the things that you enjoy.
