East Dunbartonshire Association for Mental Health is a local, independent charity, not for profit organisation which was formally incorporated as a private limited company in October 1999 registration number.201746. EDAMH is registered with the Office of Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) under charity registration number SC029675.

The Association is governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors, who serve as Charity Trustees in compliance with Scottish charity law and Company Directors in compliance with Company Law (Scotland). The EDAMH Board of directors is elected annually by the Associations membership, at its annual general meeting.

The current members of the EDAMH Board of Directors are:

  • John Urquhart – Treasurer
  • Craig Rodgie – Member Director
  • Ruth Currie – Member Director
  • Carolynn Flavell – Member Director 

The EDAMH Board of Directors comprises a group of individuals who bring a range of personal and professional experience, skills, and expertise in areas including mental health, legal, finance and education.  

Our governance structure and processes are shaped and is informed by a range of monitoring and evaluations requirements to ensure it meets contractual outcomes, company and charity law; Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Service Council requirements.  

All staff are members of the Protection for Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme to meet regulatory requirements.  


EDAMH are keen to hear the views, both positive and negative, of the people who use our services regarding the service they have received.
